A frosty 2 degrees start for 25 happy hikers as we headed off beside a very muddy and flooded Taieri River.

The day remained grey and the track muddy in places, but it was lovely in the bush walking along a carpet of autumn leaves with no wind.

We were very impressed by the work being undertaken to tidy up this part of the track.  Closer to the river there was a lot of damage caused by wild pigs. We had coffee at her Grange to finish a great day out.
