09/03/2026 to 13/03/2026. Bannockburn Camp – Stewart Town sluicings, River Walk. Hikers Leaders: Anne Ward.

The hikers started their walk form the school camp gate and headed along Campbells Lane a track that heads around the back of the camp ending up at the back of Bannockburn township, we walked up Gibston road and onto the sluicing’s track,
morning tea break at Stewart Town this site had great views towards Cromwell and surrounding hills. we then proceeded down through the slucings to Fulton Road,
along the cycle trail to the Bannockburn bridge and onto the inlet for lunch,
a perfect sunny day for a lunch stop by the lake.
After lunch a short but uphill climb to the Bannockburn main street to the cafe for ice cream and/or coffee,
then along the road to complete a 11.7km walk. A beautiful day enjoyed by all.
