25/02/2026. Outram Glen to Lee Stream. Grade 2.5. Hikers. Leaders: Maria MacNee, Avis Williamson.
23 hikers set out on a gloriously Sunny morning and were suitably impressed with new toilet and BBQ area at Outram Glen.
After approximately half an hour we stopped at the Outram Glen Beach for morning tea.

Six members then returned to their cars and went off to enjoy lunch at Blend Express.

The remaining 17 of us set off to traverse the rocky up hill and down dale trek to where Lee Stream and Taieri River meet.

We had an early lunch and on such a lovely hot day some members went for a paddle/swim in the river before we headed back.

With no significant rain for several days the track was dry; however, the muddy areas of the track were still there and we gingerly and successfully negotiated them both ways.

With forecast for a high of 27 degrees we were all thankful that we were enjoying the challenges of this lovely bush walk.

Ice-creams and milkshakes were the order of the day from the Outram 4 Square to refresh us all from our 12 km trek.
