After parking under the Outram Bridge, nineteen trampers made their way alongside the Northern aspect of the Taieri river on the flat and then began an ascent up into the hills along a farm track.

As the track ended, we kept going up and stopped for morning tea under the pylons in the sun.

Once fed and watered, we continued upward through a paddock of hungry cows, bellowing for hay being sorted by the farmer. We stopped briefly at the trig point before backtracking slightly and heading down the hill which was muddy and a bit slippery.  Everyone stayed upright!

Heading south we then headed up again to have lunch at the edge of a stand of pine trees.

The sun was shining but the wind did have a bit of a bite to it. We then carried on through a gorse lined track to do more climbing through more trees and eventually reached the end of the up. Back on the farm track we headed back down to the river track and back to our cars. A tramp with a lot of variety and was enjoyed by all. Refreshments for most was at Blend in Outram.
