Everyone arrived on 12 noon Monday for lunch and then departed to Kawarau Station 4lm from the camp, this was organised by Wendy Langley who has spent time in this area in the past. This station has been in the same Anderson family for three generations. We first visited the original woolshed dating back to 1860,
and viewed the original homestead also the same era, we then had an enjoyable walk up farm tracks
to the trig station where we had a break to take in the views from Bannockburn to Cromwell and surrounding mountains,
then it was a steep decent and gentle walk that took us back to camp.
Gary McInnes and a few others prepared a great BBQ tea, thanks to Karen for organising BBQ food.
