26/02/2025. Gardens, Pine Hill Return. Grade 2. Hikers. Leaders: Jenny Finnerty, Kay Seddon.
8.40 and only me in the carpark? I thought everyone had gone with the trampers. Luckily, I managed to scrounge up another 6 plus met up with another 5 in town
We had morning tea at the Woodhaugh Gardens where a couple kids had a go on the flying fox.

We carried on with walking up and up and a bit more up Gladstone Road. We stopped in and had a look at Aquinas Hall … all were impressed. After a bit more up and a look at some great views we arrived onto Pinehill Road and then on up to Campbell Road.

We spotted the Hydrangea that was yellow last time but now is pale blue. But cuttings were taken to try again. After a wee bit more walking, we arrived at our lunch destination and were treated with some amazing views.

At least now it was all downhill through a maze of steep streets and then down the 218 Duddington Steps.

We had coffee at the Gardens which was well deserved after a 10k walk – except for Adie who walked 11ks. Short legs!!! Many thanks to Charlie Jan B. Jenny
