On a cloudless morning 25 happy hikers met at the Outram Glen carpark.

We arrived to find cars everywhere as a school group prepared to travel upriver and then raft back down.

We walked up to the beach and stopped for morning tea in the sun.

After morning tea 18 of the group headed uphill while the remainder wandered back down the track. The track was in very good condition and before we knew it we were at Lee Stream where everyone found a spot for lunch.

We watched the school kids excitedly get themselves organised to head back down the river. As the river was still high there was quite a good rapid right at the start of their journey.

Lots of joyful yelling and screaming and they were away down the river.

We packed up and headed back to the cars and most stopped at the 4 Square for an ice cream in the sun.
